Dr Jenny Palmer
Since graduating with MBBS from UWA in 2008, Jenny worked through the WA hospital system with a particular interest in emergency, orthopaedics and paediatrics. However, after completing seven years in the WA Public Health System at nearly every tertiary hospital in Perth and Bunbury, and a considerable amount of time in the operating theatre, priorities changed and she decided to venture down the path of General Practice. She was accepted onto the GP training program with WAGPET on returning from maternity leave in 2017. With a strong background in acute orthopaedic injury and surgery, general paediatrics, along with new life experiences as a mother of two girls, Jenny can bring a well-rounded approach to consultations.
After two years working at a Medical Practice in Kelmscott, Jenny joined Mt Hawthorn Family Practice. She has developed a key interest in the following areas of general practice: Paediatrics; Implanon insertion and removal; Iron infusions; Joint and bone conditions; Minor surgery and; Injury management. She enjoys spending time with her busy family including her two Springer Spaniels, getting out and about on our family cargo bike and getting involved in community activities like the local toy library, craft markets or whatever is going on in the community.
