Ashleigh completed a Bachelor of Science (BSc) at the University of Western Australia in 2011 before commencing a postgraduate medical degree (MBBS) at the University of Notre Dame, Sydney and graduating in 2015. She completed her internship, residency and began basic physician training in the New South Wales hospital system, before deciding to enter into general practice training. After 8 years in the eastern states, she is very excited to have returned to the west coast!
Ashleigh spent 2020 working in Kalgoorlie which provided her with a broad range of experience in rural primary care. She has developed a particular interest in geriatric medicine but enjoys all aspects of general practice. Ashleigh is able to assist patients with procedures such as minor skin lesion excision, chronic wound management, Implanon insertion and removal, joint injections and iron infusions. She has recently completed the Sydney Child Health Program (SCHP), providing her with some extra training in paediatric care. In her spare time Ashleigh enjoys swimming, playing the ukulele and travel.
